Below is some additional information to supplement the general Stevens directions.

Directions for public transportation:

Your best option for reaching Stevens Institute of Technology is using public transportation. From New York, take the PATH train or the New York Waterways shuttle to Hoboken. From New Jersey, take NJ Transit to Hoboken. From the train station/shuttle stop, walk north on River Street for about 10 minutes. (Alternatively you can walk along the river front, one block east of River Street, with a breathtaking view of Manhattan across the river.) Once you walk through the park, you are on campus. The Babbio building is the new glass building on the right, after the MacLean Chemical Building. Aternatively you can take a taxi to the Babbio building at Stevens Institute of Technology (corner of River and 6th Street).

Directions if you are driving from New Jersey:

The Stevens Web site suggests approaching campus from Weehawken, near the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel. This is a bit of a diversion, here is an alternative route that goes near the entrance to the Holland Tunnel.  Take 1/9 or the NJ Turnpike toward the Holland Tunnel. As you come down the ramp make the first left at the light onto Jersey Ave. Due to construction, take the left exit for Hoboken and follow the detour signs that will loop you 360 degrees, until you come out on Jersey Ave. Turn left at the light on Jersey Ave (Exxon station diagonally across the road from you). Follow the road under the RR tracks and go right on Observer Highway, proceeding alongside of the RR tracks to Washington St.

After about 1 mile, go left on Washington Street and proceed to Third Street (0.5 miles). Make a right on Third Street, go for one block to Hudson Street. Go right on Hudson and use the Public Parking Garage on the left side of the street. It is just past the park.

Now walk up Hudson Street to Fourth Street and cut across the park (North-East) to River St. You are on campus. The Babbio building is the new glass building on the right, after the MacLean Chemistry Building.

If you are dropping off, proceed along Washington to 5th street, turn right onto 5th, drive two blocks (past Hudson) to River Street. Turn left on River and Babbio is the second building on your right. Drop off in front of Babbio, then turn left on 6th Street, left again on Hudson, and proceed to the 2/3rd Street parking garage.

If driving, you may want to allow a few minutes for delays because of commuter traffic backed up at the entrances to the Lincoln and Holland tunnels, especially in the morning (at least 20 minutes in the morning).
