Traveling Directions

The Security and Privacy Day will take place in Room #104, on the first floor of the Babbio Center at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken.

Here is a map of campus. The Babbio Center is number 6 on the map. It is located on the southeast corner of the intersection of 6th St. and River St.

Directions for public transportation: Your best option for reaching Stevens Institute of Technology is using public transportation. From New York, take the PATH train or the New York Waterways shuttle to Hoboken. From New Jersey, take NJ Transit to Hoboken. From the train station/shuttle stop, walk north on River Street for about 10 minutes. (Alternatively you can walk along the river front, one block east of River Street, with a breathtaking view of Manhattan across the river.) Once you walk through the park, you are on campus. Walk past the MacLean building. The Babbio Center is the next building on your right. Upon entering from River Street, make an immediate right. Walk down the hall past the elevators, and Room #104 will be on your left.

Alternatively you can take a taxi to the intersection of 6th St. and River St. at Stevens Institute of Technology.

Directions if you are driving from New Jersey: Again, complete directions to Stevens Institute of Technology are available on the main university website. The Stevens website also includes suggestions for using the Municipal Parking Garages close to campus. Please see this page for more information.

From the Municipal Parking Garages, walk up Hudson Street to Fourth Street and cut across the park (North-East) to River St. You are on campus. Walk past the MacLean building. The Babbio Center is the next building on your right. Upon entering from River Street, make an immediate right. Walk down the hall past the elevators, and Room #104 will be on your left.

If driving, you may want to allow a few minutes for delays because of commuter traffic backed up at the entrances to the Lincoln and Holland tunnels, especially in the morning (20 mins in the morning).

Directions if you are taking Amtrak: Take Amtrak to New York Penn Station. Leave the station and walk one block east (about 10 mins walk) to Herald Square, i.e., 33rd Street and 6th Avenue. Take the PATH train from there to Hoboken (do not take the train to Journal Square). Then proceed as before.

Alternatively take Amtrak to Newark Penn Station (Newark, NJ), and take a taxi to Stevens Institute in Hoboken.

Directions if you are flying: Fly into Newark International Airport (EWR), and take a taxi to Stevens Institute in Hoboken.
