For this reason, things like DBZ and Naruto will never be on this list. I refuse to watch anything longer than 52 episodes. 10.0 does not necessarily denote a "perfect" anime. 9.0 - 10.0: *great* anime. These are quite rare. 8.0 - 8.9: A respectable score. Recommended. 7.0 - 7.9: Eh, average. Might be worth watching, might not. Animes at the very bottom of this range were possibly almost a 6.x, but had some sort of saving grace that barely brings them up to a 7.0. 6.0 - 6.9: Bad. Avoid. Just plain boring. Below 6.0: Can be used as a torture device. Due to not keeping this list since the beginning, there is a margin of error of approximately +/- 0.3 from what I would think of the anime after having just watched it. I may also later change my opinion of an anime and decide that I initally rated it too high or too low. In general, the rating will be an average of sorts if some parts were better than others. However, for Abenobashi, I had to split it into two separate ratings because there's just too big of a difference between the two halves, making an average meaningless. When two or more animes have the same rating, I try order them, with the marginally better one(s) on top.
