Seemingly Unrelated Extra Credit

As part of the class, we frequently reference current events or cultural works of art. Since System Administration requires a significant amount of ingenuity and creativity it is important to broaden one's horizon beyond just the technical components.

The following are ways for you to gain extra credit points through at times somewhat unconventional means.

• Mentos/Diet coke eruption: Submit video confirming that mentos in diet coke have a more severe effect than in another soda. 15 points.
• HTTP Exercise; submit a text file describing what you did and any insights you gained: 25 points
• submit a SysAdmin joke to the class list on April 2nd: 5 points
• Explain traceroutes to Hawai`i: 10 points
