I am currently a senior at
Stevens Insitute of Technology, so I only have a little more to go (as an undergraduate). I am majoring in Computer Science and minoring in both Math and Music Technology. I play the flute and oboe as a soloist and in my school's concert band. I'm planning on going to graduate school to study artificial intelligence, specifically machine learning.
I spent most of the summer doing research at
Utah State University in the area of computer vision. I worked on implementing a content-based image retrieval system, which tries to automatically learn the meaning of an image so it can return relevant results on an image search. Current systems like Google image search rely on humans manually labelling pictures, so they are impractical for large databases.
